Good morning, I hope you had a wonderful weekend! Over here in the Midwest we’re getting slammed with winter. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised since it is January but I could go for some 70 degree weather right about now. One good thing about winter weather is I’m generally ready to start my workout just so I can get warm! So with that in mind, here’s a workout to get you going this week:
*Always remember to warm up before starting your workout. Here’s a little warmup if you’re not sure what to do:
20 jumping jacks
10 air squats
10 push ups
20 jumping jacks
10 lunges (each leg)
10 iron cross
10 scorpions
1 minute jump rope
4 minute Tabata: (20 seconds work/10 seconds rest)
jump rope
Rest 2 minutes, then:
16 minute EMOM (Every Minute on the Minute)
Minute 1: 15-20 push ups
Minute 2: 50 bicycles
Minute 3: 60 mountain climbers
Minute 4: 45 second plank (if you can’t hold the full 45s, rest one knee to the floor & then come back into postion)
Rest 2 minutes, then:
4 minute Tabata: (20 seconds work/10 seconds rest)
jump rope
That’s it! When you finish, rest a minute and catch your breath. Then take a little more time to stretch those muscles out and then you’re ready for your day. Have a great week!
